The Kimberley Project

God loves the Kimberley. He created it uniquely and longs for His children to realise their full potential, value and worth.
We want to tell this story through film – and take you along with us!

After 2400km and 4/5 days of travel, many of our team members have arrived in the Kimberley safely. Travelling was an adventure in itself! We’ve also been continuing to pray for the Kimberley since being here, and invite you to join us in prayer too! Let us know if you’d like to pray with us! Great things on the horizon as pre-production gets underway and the rest of our team arrive. Pretty keen for what this film adventure will hold.

This film is going to be fully directed, produced and controlled by God alone. This is His film. Our team is altogether now, and we were about to get cracking with all our plans. But God had other plans and is showing us that this whole process will be a unique filmmaking experience based on relationship with God and trusting Him. What a wild ride we’re in for!

This film is going to be fully directed, produced and controlled by God alone. This is His film. Functioning from relationship with God has lead us on many prayer walks and worship times. And through this, connections have been made and this film is slowly getting on it’s feet. Please pray for the provision of the things we still need, and for transformation of the Kimberley!

The puzzle pieces and breadcrumb trails are coming together. By allowing God to decide what we do each day, whether that was to meet people, pray or do absolutely nothing, the breakthrough begun to show. God was ready, and was getting us ready to roll.

It was go time! Full steam ahead, we took the plunge to make this film happen in 5 days. What followed was a full-on, hands-on, crazy schedule of relying on God and the miraculous. Even in all the mistakes, stresses, mishaps and tiredness, God never let us down. This film is a testimony of trust and God’s trustworthiness.

It was go time! We are 3 days into an intense but incredible shooting schedule, when we run into a few roadblocks… literally. However, God continually proves Him faithful to the very end of the ‘5 days of crazy’. His fingerprints are all over this production.

Finishing well! God lead us in our final weeks to complete shots we missed, protected us from looming cyclones and gave us time to value and appreciate our friends (plus, we finally got a chance to eat goanna!). Our time in the Kimberley may be over for now, but we hope to be back soon, with a completed movie! Also, Cygnet Films now has an Instagram! See the links below!

It has been almost 3 months since we visited the Kimberley. We’ve been spending this time praying, brainstorming and chipping away at the film ‘Kimberley Spirit’, seeing the story come to life in front of our eyes! Here’s a little hello from us, filling in the gaps from this time. Please pray with us for this film!

Hello! – If you feel to donate, please comment, email or send a message. You’ll be part of our journey! – We’re making progress on the film for sure, but it’s turned out to be a bigger battle than we anticipated. We’ve been meaning to pop back to Looma for a while now – and we feel like God says it’s time! The battle’s not over yet, as we fight to see the provision for us to go for a 10 day trip. Please be praying with us for these next steps!

t took a lot of fighting in prayer, emotional rollercoaster moments and a whole lot of faith, but when God says we’re going to the Kimberley, we go! Nothing can get in the way! Here’s the recount of the leading up to this trip, where we aimed to grab some pick-up shots to fill in story gaps. Miracles from the start. STAY TUNED FOR AN EXCITING PART TWO!!

After an incredible set up of prayer to send us out, we had finally made it back to Looma! We set out to film whatever we could with the time we thought we had… until God flung open so many doors, we couldn’t keep count! A miraculous 7 day trip that we’ll never forget.

It’s all happening! Here’s Holly with some exciting information about what the next month will hold for ‘Kimberley Spirit’ – involving a screening in Looma, an online premiere and a sneak peek of our brand new screen in use!
